This was done from life, with the canvas set up in the room—I just built it up as I went, looking and painting at the same time. The window actually turned out a little squiffy and the pottery a tad more rustic than it actually is but this adds a slight charm. You can find it on display at the Letchworth Open Exhibition 2026 at the Broadway Gallery this July.
