Peonies, ceanothus and rock rose

I love the colour combo of these three that brighten up our front garden. The electric blue of the ceanothus seems to intensify every year.

I find the peonies a slightly bonkers flower. For most of the year they’re nowhere to be seen then you get a mass of leaves. It’s at that point, if I remember in time, I wrestle it into my cage support then boom! Just huge magnificent blooms.

Update 2023: our ceanothus got moved and then squished under a portaloo during our house renovations. Sniff. We shall plant another
